Essential oils
Pour with ice balls and essential oil
Essential oils are often used in the sauna when poured with ice balls. With ice balls, use a bowl in which the ice ball is placed so that the smell does not go down through the ice ball. Or it must be that it ends up in the water that you still want to pour on.
Top up with water and essential oil
In addition to ice balls, essential oils can also be added to the water in the sauna bucket. The essential oil will float on top of the water in the sauna bucket. That is why it is important that the water with the essential oil is stirred well before it is poured onto the sauna heater. Immediately after stirring, you can scoop the mixture onto the stove. It is also possible to scoop into the sauna bucket from below with the sauna spoon. Then you always have a lot of water and the right amount of fragrance in your sauna spoon when you pour the mixture on the sauna heater.
