Basil oil
Basil essential oil is an herb that is widely used in cooking Italian dishes.
Basil is also known as royal herb. This is due to the Greek word 'basilikos' which means 'royal'.
The Ocimum Basilicum has a fresh, sweet, spicy scent.

What is the essential oil used for?
Basil oil is often used as a top and middle tone in green and natural perfumes.
Basil is widely used in Asian cuisine to season food.
Basil oil is also used in oral care products.
Use Basil oil
- In the sauna: add 5 to 10 drops to an ice ball or to the water in the sauna tub
- In an aroma burner: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in an aroma burner
- On an aroma stone: add 2 to 4 drops to the stone of the aroma stone
- In a diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in the diffuser
- In a massage oil: add a maximum of 25 drops of Basil oil to 250 ml of Sweet Almond oil.
- Do not take the essential oil pure or use it purely on the skin.
- Avoid use on sensitive and/or damaged skin.
- Do not use during pregnancy and in children under 5 years.
Basil oil is good to mix with
Citrus oils and Rosemary oil.
Extraction of basil essential oil
To extract 1 kilo of basil oil, more than 500 kilos of basil leaves are needed. Basil essential oil is extracted through steam distillation of the leaves of the Ocimum Basilicum. The color of the essential oil is colorless to pale yellow.
About the bottles
The 5 ml and 20 ml brown glass bottles contain a dropper and a child-resistant cap and the 100 ml brown glass bottles contain a pipette.
The 500 ml bottle and the liter bottle are used as refill packs.
