Body oil, also known as skin oil or body oil, is a concentrated treatment that deeply nourishes the skin and gives it a natural glow.

Unlike body lotion, oil contains no water, forming a protective barrier that "locks" moisture into the skin.

How do you use it optimally?

The best way to apply body oil is to damp skin , immediately after showering. The water on your skin helps the oil absorb faster and retain moisture.

  • Every day or a few days a week: Use body oil on the entire body and face to optimally nourish the skin.

  • In the bath: Add a few drops to the body for soft, conditioned skin.

  • After a face mask / body wrap: Apply body oil to the skin for optimal nourishment.

Which oil do I use for certain skin problems?

For stretch marks: Almond oil: Improves skin elasticity and is often recommended during pregnancy.

For psoriasis and eczema: Argan oil: Has anti-inflammatory properties and can provide immediate relief from itching and redness caused by eczema.

Impure skin and acne: Grapeseed oil: A very light oil that absorbs quickly and is suitable for oilier skin.

Oily or Acne-Prone Skin

Opinions differ on this, but the general consensus is that caution is warranted.

  • Positive: It has a low comedogenic value (usually does not clog pores) and has a soothing effect.

  • Note: For some people with oily skin, pure shea butter can feel too heavy or clog pores. In this case, it is better to use a light lotion in which shea butter is only one ingredient, or grapeseed oil.
