What is black soap?

Black soap, also known as "sabon beldi," "savon noir," or "black soap," has a long history in Morocco. It is a natural, traditional black olive oil soap made from vegetable oils. This highly alkaline soap is made from olive oil and macerated olives. This gives the soap a jelly-like consistency and a dark greenish-black color. It is therefore a soap made entirely from natural ingredients. Black soap is rich in vitamin E and is used to cleanse and moisturize the skin. Moroccan black soap is versatile and can also be used for cleaning purposes. The solid-to-liquid soap is purified and meets the standards of the European Cosmetics Directive. Because black soap adheres well to the skin during application, it prevents unnecessary waste. After use, the skin will feel soft, supple, and hydrated.

What is black olive soap good for?

Traditional black soap cleanses the skin and is suitable for the entire body. Moroccan black soap is also suitable for sensitive skin and is recommended for skin problems such as eczema, pimples, inflammation, scars, and stretch marks. It is completely safe to use in the shower, hammam, bath, or steam room. Black soap is often used in beauty salons.

Black soap uses

You can use black soap by rubbing it into your skin in circular motions and exfoliating with a peeling or scrubbing glove. This will loosen the numerous skin flakes, while leaving the skin's protective layer intact.

• First, take a hot shower.

• Make sure there is plenty of steam in the room so that your pores open up.

• Massage a small amount of black soap onto damp skin for 5 to 10 minutes, approximately 3cm on the face and body (20-30g per wash of face and body).

• Rinse the skin with water until all soap residue is gone.

• Wet a Kese scrub glove (kessa) with warm water and scrub your entire body with it to remove dead skin cells.

• After scrubbing, apply body oil (e.g. Argan oil or Dalan d'Olive hand and body cream or body butter) to nourish the skin.

• After this you will have clean, nourished and soft skin
