Use Patchouli oil
The more drops are added, the stronger the scent is. So always start with a few drops and add more drops if necessary. The space in which the scent is spread also determines how the scent is experienced. If it is colder than 16 degrees, the scent will not come out as well.
- In the sauna: add 5 to 10 drops of patchouli oil to an ice ball or to the water in the sauna tub | |

- On an aroma stone: add 2 to 4 drops to the stone of the aroma stone and place the stone in the wardrobe to repel moths. | |

Contraindication
- This essential oil is non-toxic, non-irritating to the skin and non-sensitizing.
- Do not take the essential oil pure or use it purely on the skin.
- Only use the essential oil externally and not during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Keep out of reach of children. Keep locked up.
- Do not use this product on irritated skin.
- Children do not like this essential oil because a few drops of patchouli oil already come out quite heavy.

Extraction of Essential Patchouli Oil
The Patchouli plant is a rugged herb that belongs to the lip flower family, just like lavender and mint species. It is an aromatic, perennial plant that can grow up to 90 cm in height. The Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli plant) has a sturdy, hairy stem, large, fragrant, fuzzy leaves and blooming tips of white-violet flowers in summer.
The plant cannot tolerate full sun. That is why in tropical Asian countries such as Indonesia, the plant is often planted on teak plantations. In addition to Indonesia, Patchouli is a native plant from India and the Philippines. Today, the Patchouli plant is also cultivated in China, Malaysia and South Africa.
Water vapor distillationWe extract our Patchouli essential oil by means of water vapor distillation from the dried leaves of the Pogostemon Cablin plant from Indonesia. Patchouli oil has a dark orange to dark brown color. 1 liter of essential Patchouli oil requires 30 to 35 kilograms of dried Patchouli leaves from the Pogostemon Cablin plant. The essential oil is extracted by steam distillation. |
