Fragrance Palmarosa oil
Palmarosa oil has a sweet-spicy rose-like aroma with a light citrus note and sometimes a sweet, floral undertone. Due to the Geraniol that contains Palmarosa oil, the scent often resembles a combination of Geranium and Rose oil.
This essential oil is native to India and Pakistan and is now cultivated in Africa and Indonesia.
Palmarosa oil is often used as a heart note in Rose perfumes. Palmarosa is also often found in soaps. Palmarosa is an important raw material for the extraction of Geraniol.
Palmarosa oil is one of the most skin-friendly essential oils in aromatherapy.
Use palmarosa oil
- In the sauna: add 5 to 10 drops to an ice ball or to the water in the sauna tub
- In an aroma burner: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in an aroma burner
- On an aroma stone: add 2 to 4 drops to the stone of the aroma stone
- In a diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in the diffuser. Palmarosa can be used well in Diffusers to create a pleasant atmosphere in which you can relax yourself.
- In the steam room: add 2 to 4 drops of essential oil to a sponge and place it in a stainless steel dish under the steam pipe
- In a massage oil: add a maximum of 10 drops of Palmarosa oil to 100 ml Sweet Almond oil.
- In the bath: add a few drops of Palmarosa oil to our Lavender bath oil to properly add the Palmarosa oil to the bath water. Otherwise, palmarosa oil will float on top of the water.
- Do not take the essential oil pure or use it purely on the skin.

Palmarosa can be combined well with Lemon, Cedarwood, Geranium, Lavender, Jasmine, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood and Ho-Leaf oil.
Extraction of palmarosa oil
To extract 1 liter of Palmarosa essential oil, 75 kilos of fresh or dried Palmarosa grass is needed.
The color of Palmarosa oil is light yellow to light green.
