Essential rose oil is extracted from rose petals, for example, the cost of rose oil (ethereal) is very higher because a rose leaf contains relatively little essential oil. For 300 ml of Rose oil (Rosa Damascena oil), 1000 kg of rose petals are used. Distilling, for example, lavender oil (1 liter) (Lavandula Angustifolia) requires approximately 150 kilos of lavender blossom. Lemon oil is obtained by pressing from lemon peels. Lemon peels contain relatively more essential oil than lavender blossom or rose petals, so lemon oil is also cheaper than lavender oil and rose oil.
